- how to hold or support the camera for maxium sharpness of the image
- how to choose the right light, weather, and time of day for flower and garden photography
- how to adjust your camera’s white balance (color filtration) to enhance your flower photos
- how to get “down and dirty” for those intimate close-ups of your favorite plants or flowers with “macro” settings or lenses
- how to do professional-quality garden photography in your own back yard
- how to photograph your home’s exterior, using flowers and plants to best advantage
- how (and how not) to pose family and friends in front of flower gardens
- how to get the outside garden to show up in your window when shooting rooms from the inside
- how to blur or sharpen your photo’s background, using lens aperture and depth of field
- how to get off “Auto” and use all those other doodads on your camera that you were afraid to touch!
Any camera will do, and all skill levels are invited. However, digital and film cameras with adjustable apertures and shutter speeds are preferred for better results. Each class is limited to 12 students. The cost is just $60 per person. Non-photographer companions are invited to come at no cost and are welcome to serve as models! Classes are limited to 12 students, so you are sure to receive the attention you need. Classes will be held rain or shine. Sign up online here!
