In today’s economy it can be difficult for non-profit groups and schools to meet their financial challenges. So at Behnke’s, we have designed three programs as alternatives to the traditional fundraising route.

• Behnke Fundraising Days where your group/school can invite people to shop at one of our retail stores and can earn a portion of the sales

• Take orders for Behnke Gift Cards and earn a portion of the sales. These cards are redeemable at either retail location and make great gifts for anyone who loves plants and flowers.

• Offer Beautiful Behnke Signature Mums as an alternative to traditional cookie dough and wrapping paper fundraisers.

Promote a Fundraiser Day at Behnke’s

The Behnke Nurseries’ Fundraiser Day promotion is an exciting, fun and easy way to raise money for your organization. You may schedule your Behnke's Fundraiser Day for any day of the week — Monday thru Sunday.

Behnke Nurseries will help your organization raise funds by donating back to you 10% of the sales* generated by members of your group. We will create a master flyer with a unique bar code for you to make copies of to distribute to your group.

Everyone likes to buy plants! A Behnke Fundraiser is fun and easy. Just distribute your flyers to your supporters, encourage them to shop on your Special Behnke Day, and remind them that they must submit the flyer at the time of payment. Then sit back while we work hard to help you raise money.

Approximately ten days after your Behnke Fundraiser event, Behnke Nurseries will issue your group a check for its share and mail it to you. What a great way to raise funds for school clubs, church youth groups, youth sports teams, or other cause–related fundraisers.

beautiful hanging baskets for the patio. Gift cards are practical and never go out of style and what an easy fundraiser...they practically sell themselves! And best of all your group will receive 15% of the total sale.
Behnke gift cards are redeemable at either easy to reach location (Beltsville or Potomac) for a wide range of gardening products that appeal to everyone.**

Getting started is EASY!

You can initiate this fundraiser anytime of the year. First, contact Behnke’s using the information in the beginning of this brochure. We will set up an account for your group and send you the information requested. Then, your group can begin!

• Your will take orders for Behnke Gift Cards available in $10 and $25 denominations and collect the money for the face value of the cards.
• Then you turn in your order with Behnke’s and we sell you the cards at 15% off the face value. Once the order and payment are submitted, your group leader can arrange a day to pick up the cards***. It’s so simple!
Are you eligible? Any non-profit group, organization or school is eligible. So don’t delay.

**Behnke gift cards are not redeemable for cash.

***Once picked up the cards become the sole responsibility of the participating group. Behnke’s will not replace lost or stolen cards.

Behnke Signature Mums are offered to your non-profit group in 5 colors: Red, White, Lavender/Pink Yellow and Bronze. They are always full of buds and measure a generous 12 to 15-inches in diameter.

Behnke Mum fundraisers take place in the fall. Our plants are offered to your non-profit group at a special low-price. Your group can then decide on a resale price for your customers. You decide what your profit should be. Then, after you take your orders and place a complete order with Behnke’s, a delivery date and location will be agreed upon and “voila” your beautiful plants will arrive for you to distribute.
