I finally did it! I ventured out and went to the hardware store. I needed some more stripper for that ice chest my husband was redoing, and I decided to just go get it. Only 15 people in at a time. Everyone wears a mask.
Finally! I can’t begin to tell you how much I love these beautiful stoneware plates. We used to sell the Blue Crab Nuts at the nursery but could never carry the stoneware because let’s face it, they would get pretty dusty in our greenhouses.
This year when I went to the Atlanta gift show to find additional companies to add to our offerings for you on our shopping site, I happened to stop by the Blue Crab Bay showroom. While talking about how I always wished we could have carried these dishes, they told me that they would love to be part of our online store! Yippee!
I love different table settings. And I will be adding to my collection of dinnerware with these. The best thing is that they are dishwasher safe and can be put in your microwave or your oven (up to 400 degrees.) While reading about how they came up with the design I learned that it was created exclusively for the Blue Crab Bay Company under the artistic direction of Eastern Shore artisan Jose Dovis. Another thing is the stoneware is lead free. These dishes have all been hand painted in Thailand.
Larry Bristow has been fantastic in helping me get our Behnke Online Shopping up and running. We have been looking at all the different companies and will be adding more and more as time goes on.
