Christmas Already? No, not quite, but it is time to think about your outdoor Holiday decorations. Do you really want to put them up again this year? I recommend our friends Pete and Walter from Zabrene Scapes.
Here is the schedule for the last repotting clinics of 2020 for Carol Allen. I am so happy that some of her customers have stepped up to help her keep the clinics open. That said, with COVID 19, Carol will hold the clinics outside or in a venue that can provide enough space, ventilation, warmth, and light. I have hoped that a local garden center that can provide this type of room will contact Carol.
One of the best decisions Behnke’s made was bringing Carol back as our Orchid Lady a few times each month. She also led many unique garden talks, so it was a win-win for Behnke Nurseries. We all should put our heads together and think outside the box to help find an excellent place for Carol to share her love and knowledge with us. It does not need to be a garden center since so many do not have the room that Behnke’s did. If you own a company and have space, I can promise you it will benefit you as her customer base are very loyal spenders.
October 3rd and 4th and then October 24th and 25th
Both weekends are from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm.
- You will meet at a location in the upper Northwest D.C. on a patio outside.
- Masks are REQUIRED, and social distancing will be observed.
- Only six people will be allowed in the area at a time.
Last month, Carol took reservations every half hour, and that worked out very well. If you are interested, you can RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org for the address to reserve your spot. Please limit to 4 orchids or other plants for re-potting. Cash, checks, or PayPal are accepted.
The cost is generally $1 per inch of new pot diameter. There may be a small surcharge if the plant is needing extended care of division. YES, other plants are welcomed, but you need to let Carol know if you have any plants with special needs or over 8′ to ensure she has what will be required.
